Through programs, residencies, and events, we expand access to the arts, build artists’ capacity to amplify Black narratives, and create pathways for cultural preservation and economic opportunity. Your artistry carries purpose and meaning. Your voice has power. The Anderson Center for the Arts A.I.R. (Amplify. Invest. Revitalize.) Residency Program supports emerging and mid-career artists through dedicated 24/7 studio space, professional development, and community engagement, culminating in a public exhibition.
We provide the space so you can focus on what really matters: creating the work that uplifts, transforms, and preserves the people, places, and stories that matter.
